Lowering Springs

I would not recommend just lowering your car with springs because that way you would have a more uncomfortable ride and you will blow out your factory shocks quickly. You should buy some shocks with your springs or if you got the cash get some coilovers. As for your question, I'm getting myself a pair of Prodrive springs and some Koni Shocks. Don't know if they are the best though....

I have the Prodrive springs with the stock struts. I'm told that the Prodrive's have been designed to work well with the stock struts. I think they ride is now perfect for my tastes, firm but not too harsh.
I've got the H&R springs on stock struts. I have not noticed any loss of drive quality at all. If anything the ride is SLIGHTLY softer under normal driving, but handling around corners is still improved.

h&r feels softer daily driving? i am interested in the h&rs but i don't want to have my inner tire wear out quicker due to camber. do u have quicker tire wear on ur ride?

stock struts will last a good 100,000+ miles, and by then you will notice a decrease in quality...so id say a good 75-80k of better performance...give or take of course depending on the spring

Beware
Your stock struts are not damped right for lowering springs. I installed B+G with a 1.4 front and a 1" rear drop, the front end doesn't ride perfect thats for sure. It's not bad, but not perfect. Try to get the full coilover set up if you get the chance.

Progress Springs!
I have progress springs installed on my car with stock struts. I have had them installed for about 15,000 miles now with no problems at all. The ride is awesome! Very firm and not bouncy at all. They look great installed as well. 1/2 finger in the back and 1 finger in the front with my 18s. They were only like $250.00 or so. I would recommend this setup 100%...
