a little confused

I have been searching the exaust forums and found that some people have said, just getting a cat back exaust can damage engine in short period of time, things like that. I dont really understand that. I was thinking of gettin a hks hyper, or the apex n1. i want it for a lil power gain, and the sound. I jsut dont get how it would affect the engine. If anyone has these exausts, or knows what is up with a cat-back and our engines, advice on this topic would be nice. Thanks

not sure where you heard this but plenty of people have a catback on their cars. i have never heard of any damage that can be caused by putting on a cat back, i am almost 100% sure that it is 100% safe.
