are 100% atmosheric bov's street legal? can u cited for having illegal parts on the car? or cited for uhm...the blow off being too loud? i know they have restrictions on how loud your exhaust can be, or you car stereo, measured by dB's but was wondering if this applies to the bov. i ask this because that is still considered a "under the hood" modification and such, but i haven't heard of such things as legal bov w/ carb numbers like intakes, but i just want to be on the safe side since cops always go crazy on you at the end of the month or beg of month. thanks a lot guys

dont open the hood for them? i believe that's against the law because a few years back, they passed a law in california stating if highway patrol or any police officer suspects something suspicious going on in your car, he has the right to search throughout your car with or without a warrant on the spot. However, not that i drive like a mad man nor do i smoke the green stuff (weed) so i'm not too worried, just that i was curious. Thanks
