Just noticed something weird with my coolant reservoir
I don't know if this is normal, but here's what happened.
I drove to school today, and for no specific reason, I popped the hood, and just took a look around. Well, here's what's weird. Usually my coolant reservoir is filled between the full and low line. After driving, the level is above the full line, as if coolant was pushed out of the radiator/cooling system. And when the engine is cold, the coolant level drops back between full and low.
Is this normal?

Thermal expansion which is the reason for the tank, yes that's normal. It's when it gets so fulll and overflows after the car gets hot that you have problems (headgasket problems most likely)

Water is one of the funky things though it's most dense at 4°C (I think that the temp) and then starts to expand again as it gets <4°. A la, frozen broken pipes in your house...
if it starts spilling out of the tank, first try a new radiator cap, it might be just a worn out spring, not head gaskets. that happened to me about two mounths ago. $5 fix instead of $2000.
