Overfill coolant reservoir

Just wanted to double check on this because I'm paranoid about my car.... I overfilled my coolant reservoir slightly (less than an inch over the high mark and the engine was warm). This shouldn't cause any harm right?

Yeah I figure it shouldn't harm it because I don't think the level in the reservoir controls the level in the radiator, not that it would matter that much anyway... Just being **** as usual.

Overfilling the reservoir does no harm. At worst, during hot temperatures with engine shutdown the expanding coolant in the system will force the excess out of the reservoir and onto the ground. It won't leak onto the engine or cause any other damage.
