So could I buy the STi TMIC and use it without having to buy new piping.

You can, but IC pipes are a cheap and easy upgrade. If you got a new IC, you would definitely want new IC pipes.

Need some input..............when starting off in 1st gear I dont get that nice take off like every manual car does and sometimes while putting the car in 1st gear, I hear a mild grind. I checked my trany fluid and it looks good. Could it be my clutch slipping?? Help!!!

Anyone else having this kinda problem??

Oh and another thing, I was thinking of baking my headlights and was wondering what i could use to paint the lights with?

Someone told me that the paint people use for calipers is good.

WRX tranny sux, you just gotta treat it nice, try slipping the clutch a little more, you want to put more strain on the clutch and less on the tranny.

I 'm running cobb stage 2 with the ca. map and a USDM STi intercooler. Stock my car did a 14.5 1/4 mile, stage 2 shave off a full second and it has way better drivability.

Also since you have an 04 I'd highly reccomend a protune if you do any modding whatsoever.

Caliper paint should be fine, as long as it's got a decent temperature rating.

What can I do about the minor grind?

With that STi IC, did you have to change the piping?
