Interesting article on car clubs, racing culture, and hashiriya in Kantou
Hey everyone, I found an interesting article about car club culture in the Kantou region, particularly in Tokyo and Yokohama. Turns out the 'satsu (Japanese slang for cops) think hashiriya (amateur racing enthusiasts) are the same as bosozoku (those annoying motorcycle gangsters like in the one Weezer video). Well at least it's kinda comforting to know that we're not the only ones being picked on by poriko (another slang for cops)
Enjoy! http://www.jingai.com/omoshiroi/hotrod.html

Oh and in case you forgot what bosozoku are or look like, here's another interesting link: http://www.jingai.com/bosozoku.html
It's in Japanese though so you might wanna use Babblefish if you can't read it. Or just enjoy the pretty pictures

Yeah, I've read that. It's a really cool article. I heard there was some DVD that shipped with Tokyo Extremem Racer Zero over here that talked about the same sort of thing, but I have the import (which came with network functions instead), so I haven't seen it. Anyone know if it's cool?
I know a whole bunch of wicked VIP tuning sites, I'll have to post a list sometime.

Those bosozoku guys beating members with pipes and stuff yikes... I guess real life is getting closer and closer to Akira every day... Little wannabe clowns
I really want to get out and freeway race in japan someday soon. I have a feeling that it will not last forever and the car culture of games like TXR that really exists there is truely the stuff of legend...
