Hi, I'm interested in an commute car that I can play around with. I don't need great horsepower so I think I am going to leave the WRXs and STIs out. I really like how the older imprezas are coupes, but i have questions for those of you that have experience with it. I will probably do little mods here and there. How reliable are subarus and how reliable would a 01 (probably with 60k miles+) be. Also, the mpg on the N/A shouldn't be too bad right?

I've seen some people talk about legacys too, which ones do people usually have?

My swapped GC8 gets about the same milage as my old RS, lol. They're pretty reliable, slow, and mods do pretty much nothing. It's a nice commuter/fun car but you'll end up with a lot of turbo lust.

 

my 98 is not too too slow. it beats ricers at stoplights when they think they are tuff ****. but its not fast either. theyre good cars. i cant wait to swap mine someday. but deffinately a good car.
