Intercooler Screen
I just received my intercooler screen from Kastles Korner. It installed pretty nicely right on top of the intercooler itself, but I decided to put it around the rubber trim that comes down from the hoodscoop.
It looks exactly like this (pic is from kastles korner):

I'm just curious to see who else is using some type of screen/mesh on their intercooler/hoodscoop and if anyone has experienced problems due to airflow restriction. Thanks.

I use a screen in the scoop opening. It does seem to cut down on the bugs on the intercooler, mainly because it pulverizes many of them and they fall on to the motor. Unfortunately, I suspect that the real reason I don't get too many bugs is that the scoop is in a low pressure area and does not get too many bugs thrown at it.
I use an open weave (metal mesh) as I was worried about ice and slush build up on long winter trips, but the engine runs so warm that I do not think this is much of a threat.
