How to remove shift boot?

How to remove shift boot?

I'm a newbie, I just recently bought a new Shift **** and want to put it on my shifter but the my current shift **** is linked to the boot and was just wondering how I could properly remove the shift boot feedback is appreciated thank you!

It should be able to come apart, just pull hard enough

So just yank the boot? Isn't it connected to some plastic?

Are you talking about removing your whole boot or just the shift ****?

Whole shift boot as in the leather too

oh i thought you just wanted to remove your shift ****, i have never removed the boot. i dont believe you have to remove the whole boot(leather part) if you are changing shift *****.

Hmmm cause my shift **** is connected to the leather boot oddly where you saying just pull the shift **** out of the leather boot?

Yeah the **** has a little collar on the bottom that the top of the boot slides onto. Just unscrew the **** then gently pull the boot off the ****. No tools required.
