Pricing on the sites, you can buy direct from either. TIC is a dealer for the KB stuff.
Installation of the shifter is DIY, you shouldn't have to pay someone to do it. If you get the bushings as well it's a bit more involved but still something you can do yourself as long as you can get under the car safely.

Pope, this install is soooooo easy. Honestly it souldn't take you any longer than 15min to complete.

If you haven't installed it yet, the best tool you can have with you is a 32oz. rubber mallet. That's the best thing to use, to pound the new shifter into place. You have to pop the ball into the pivot. Be sure to grease everything well, all the moving parts. I use white lithium grease, cheap and easy to find at an auto parts store.

its fairly easy cost me 10 bucks. i spent 10 bucks to buy a hard plastic hammer and got it in easily.
