cobb ecu flash $395

turbo back exhaust +/- $1,000

Up-pipe $179+

that should do it, I think the Cobb flash is good for about 30hp and the exhaust stuff, probably a solid 20hp. those cats steal a lot of power, so replacing the uppipe and downpipe should be your first goal

IMO, the stock power is adequate and the cars real weakness is in handling. It's mostly due to those crap RE-92s, but a nice coilover set up will get your far.

I'm going susp then hp

low 14's for a WRX is adequate but IMO the handling is quite beautiful, i took some hard hard turns with the AWD and i loved it. especially exiting those freeways offramps that turn into circles.

my goal is to go faster than 14's because i want to spank all those domestics and euros out there talkin trash about jdm cars.

and it will happen, ill dump $5000 into it, totalling about $32,000 running 12's, no other car can go that fast for that cheap, any car breaking 12's barrier with 4cylinders is a beast waiting to devour punks. muahahaha

best bang for the buck, http://www.vishnutuning.com/welcome.htm

the rex handles great before those RE-92's start to wear. I have about 11,000 on mine and they squeal around every corner now (sometimes breakin lose). BTW everyone might want to check the air pressure cause the morons at my dealership had all four corners at 42psi! front 32 back 29 is where it should be. the vishnu is nice, but for an extra $150 you could have a TXS UTEC.

FYI the STI no longer has a VF30 Its a VF39 now.

You want low 13's? you need to be a good driver first and foremost. A stage 4 car(or vishnu stage 2) is capable of mid 12's
a manual boost controller, an up pipe and a downpipe will make your car capable of low 13's (an MBC alone can make a wrx run 13.5)(been done several times)
I have seen a stage 4+ car run 14.5, and I have seen a wrx with nothing but a muffler and samco IC hoses run a 14.0
Its all in the driver.

Haha 21,000 for a loaded '03. Geez who are these people who are willing to pay 7K more for like, the SAME CAR when both are in the lot... it's like "you can have this one for xxxxxx, or this one with pretty headlights for 7 thousand more dollars. I was thinking, if you really want that front end THAT bad, it costs like 4K for a conversion or something like that...

But to help you, man these options are all expensive. But since you are dumping 5K into the car y not just go txs stage 4... but I would really just get an uppipe and a boost controller and an EGT guage to make sure you don't run lean, then set MBC to 15.5-16 psi in 3rd-4th gear, and practice launching.

Heck my recommendation to you is to get an MBC and set it to 7.5 psi, the lowest setting, and practice clutch-slipping with lower horsepower. But at least you got the short shifter, that's a mod on the right track!
