help me pick color combo
OK,
I am putting together hybrid engine.
STI block
RS heads
WRX intake manifold
I am going to powder coat the crap out of it.
I have decided to powder coat the block, heads and brackets chrome.
I just cant figgure out what color to do the valve covers, intake manifold, pullies, aultenator and other bits.
Keep in mind I have a sadonna red 2000 RS coupe.
What would look better?

candy red

candy blue
or

candy green
I am afraid of the red because it wont match my body color no matter how much I try.
I am afraid that the green will make it look like a christmass tree.
I am afraid that the blue will look like Im trying to hard to make it look like a subaru, that and I think the red vs. blue color combo is too over done.
What is every ones take on it?

its only like $25 per pound and thats the most expencive stuff.
Plus I have most of it just laying around right now.
Running a powder coating biz is cool like that.
heres where I get my powder from.

I just thought those three options would look the best.
Then again I do have this gold

But I think it would be too gawdie
and
I have this grey metallic

but I think it will be too bland.
I just am too undecisive. Ill be happy with what ever I settle on Its just I dont know what that is yet!

My friend slapped me up side the head and told me to stop being such a puss and 'do it up blue style'
I think I agree.
its the best of the options, red and blue combo is over done because it plays well together, and I should stop complaining that its too subaru and embrase it.
So blue it is!!

Yeah I think that the gunmetal would look sweet but Im kinda sick of understated...
Ill prolly do color swabs ones I get the blue and check it out form there, see what they look like in real life next to the cars paint and all that.

Can you pick any other color options? If not, then the Red would probably look the best IMO. Be nice accent to the engine bay as long as you don't over do it. You should try to get the STI Pink in there....THAT will stand out. :P

TWE titanium retainers

APS tumbler delete housings

I don’t think I am going to mix match colors.
I have the option of any color I want for any part.
What I am going to do is shoot high temp silver around the exhaust ports and the rest of the block, heads, brackets and such are going to be chrome. I am just trying to decide what color I want the Intake manifold, tumbler deletes, valve covers, alternator, and pulleys to be.
The red, blue, and gunmetal are the front runners in my mind. I just think the red would look too cheese next to the metallic red of the car. Meah well, I still need to do the color chips and hold them next to the cars paint to see what works best. I will post pics when I do.
