No joke I'm into 80's hair bands (Quiet riot, Def Leppard, Cinderella). There great to drive fast to because of the back beat. I also listed to Japanise Techno (initial D music) and some P diddy.

i guess it depends on how you define 'hardcore.' i'm really into lots of punk, mostly older school -- the new ones are too happy. some of that tends to bleed a little at the edges into quasi-hardcore territory.

no, actually i'm not getting coilovers. i'm still out of work, so i've cut back a bit on spending $$$ on my subaru. actually, i just picked up a set of STi struts, springs and tophats here on i-club for less than half what the ledas would have cost me.

what sort of metal/metalcore are you into? when i was younger, i was a bit of a metal head before my tastes moved on towards punk.

I was really into hardcore/metal/grunge/hard rock in high school, as well as other things. But my musical tastes have evolved quite a bit in the years since. Among newer bands, I do like Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall. But alot of that stuff sounds like crap now. However, I can still apreciate it, and listen to it once in a while. I used to dig Metallica, Anthrax, Sepultura, White Zombie, Slayer, Ministry, Prong, Rammstein, Biohazard, Pantera, Fear Factory, Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, etc., etc.

XstephenX -- i'll let you know how the STi pieces work when i get them on. they're being shipped tommorow, so i should know by next weekend or so. the STi springs are a good deal stiffer than the stock WRX springs, so i might not go with lower ride height springs, since what i really want is more spring rate.

i actually used to be really into Rammstein, Einsturzende Neubaten (German industrial, not quite hardcore) but never got into some of these other bands.

I'm not a big fan of hardcore but I have my cd player stocked with swedish metal and some good old american death metal: Arch Enemy, In Flames, Shadows Fall, Autumn Leaves, Kalmah, Lamb of God, Slipknot, Opeth...
