Got new STi tonight, getting new pants tomorrow

I just picked it up a few hours ago and it's amazing. Even while parked. Blue with Gold... so nice. I only got the short throw shifter.

Thanks to everyone here for supporting my habit with all the pics and talk until I was able to get my STi.

I think I'll call in sick tomorrow.

I'll post pics tonight probably. It's an 05. And I think I'll hang onto my engine and tranny for a little while. At least so I can get it through the break-in period for you.

I already got an approving thumbs up from a fellow Subaru owner in a WRX. Nice to know there are other people out there who suffer from the same affliction as I.

Thanks. I didn't get a chance to get any good pictures yet but I'll take care of that soon. Until then, just imagine a stock 05 STi in WR Blue Pearl.

I hear you. I have 150 miles and it's hard knowing all that power is there and not being able to use it.

By the way, how long is everyone waiting before replacing the dry summer tires? Can you get by in the rain or is it highly recommended to replace them?

I use mine stock potenza's for my summer tire. They are fine in rain. I had to drive in a blizzard with them on my way to get my winter tires. They did surprisingly well. But I still could barely stop/turn. Did better than most of the other vehicles on and off the road.

What would you recommend for all weather tires? I'm in the Houston area so I have no need for snow tires. I guess I could easily do another search. The half-assed one I did before didn't quite turn up the information I was hoping for.

Thanks.
