get the WRX cause you can spend a little extra on new rims and extras where the sti takes away a lot from the bank account hehe : P

Yes, it would be enough power (for 3 month) I can from the same route. I had a 2000 accord (still do) to a wrx. STi is kinda nuts if he never drove a 200 hp car. ask him to test drive the WRX before the STi. But hey, if i had the $$$$ i would go for the STi

Man, this friend of yours is annoying. He wants an STI and he can't drive a stick? C'mon. That's crazy. I have some good advice for him. Trade that honda in for a 2.5 rs manual. Learn how to drive. Then get an STi. I know this sound a little harsh. It's just common sense.

if your friend is serious aout this, and can afford it (and drive manual), get the wrx. make payments and pay the insurance. it's not that bad, especially if he has money. The power it puts out is a good platform to start out, esp. from an accord. He needs to get it manual though. Automatic sti's are sad....

If he can afford it, get the STi, no questions asked lol, it's just better

look on autotrader.com for a used 2004 STi, I've seen some for 27,000, that's a pretty good deal if it's in good shape.

Save the money and get an STi unless he wants a wagon. As far as learning have you drive it off he lot when he buys and then get to some safe place and tell him "have at it" it should only take a day for someone to pick it up. The STi is stout enough to handle a few misshaps in the shifting department. In a week he'll be smooth as can be.
