Ok. We'll help you out. But first things first. You gotta learn that STi is WRX. So there is WRX STi and WRX.

Of course, if you can afford, get the STi. $ would be the only decidiing factor here. There are no advantages of getting a regular WRX.

Then get an STi no doubt about it, unless you really like want to get a wagon.

I'm trying to get a WRX around christmas time I'm just saving up for a down payment now. I lookin at an 02 or 03 but if you got money, like everyone else said, just get the STi. 300hp 6-speed, 0-60 in like 4.6sec(?) and the only awd car that I know of that can easily smoke all for tires. I've wanted the STi since before it was released over here but I'm in college and money is tight so that's why I'm trying for a 02. My parents just got an 05 legacy and that made me want a subie even more.

keep in mind the wrx has a very tight clutch, it'll take some getting used to - even more so for the sti. remember to let off the clutch slowly and give it some gas, you'll do fine (took me a day to get it down, it's not rocket science)
