Feedback Wanted (Involving Trade-In)
Nearby dealership has a 2002 Silver 5-speed WRX sedan for sale. No price on website, so gonna go check it out tommorow. 12,000 miles.
NADA.com suggest around $21,000 for it.
Now, I have $13,000 left on my Integra with about $2000 in mods. Mostly exterior subtle stuff, so I think I might be able to pull a *little* weight there.
I have no money down.
Now, before I go on, let me explain how I got my Integra.
- No Downpayment.
- Already had a $2000 bank loan.
- Zero Credit (or very very little)
- Member of local Credit Union.
Orignal Integra price tag was $16,800 (plus tax, tag, and title). This was for a loaded 1999 LS 5-speed model.
Pfffttt yea right, I could get a new car for that price. Needless to I drove off the lot with the Integra for $11,800 (plus tax, tag, and title) and the real kicker was, they also had to pay off my $2000 bank loan.
They claim the only reason I was able to get the sale was because it had snowed that day (one day out of the year kinda thing for my town) and no one else was going to buy a car that day and they just wanted to 'push' one out the door.
Now my dad has been in car sales for like 20+ years so I know a few tricks of the trade.
However I recognize there is a big differance in haggling a price on a 1999 Integra LS and an 2002 Impeza WRX.
You think I can pull the same with the WRX with no money down and being in the hole $3000 (NADA for my car is $10,000 for trade-in).
What do you think the chances of me are walking off lot with it?

I don't know how you going to do this, but I heard that if you do a trade-in, the dealer going to have another price for the car. They will increase the price of the WRX eventhough they will increase your trade-in price. Well if you can do it, come back with the good news, and tell me how you done it, because I'm looking for a WRX for cheap and need some tricks with the dealer.
