factory horsepower for subaru engines

I was wondering what the factory lists the horses to be for it's various engines. The 2.5, 2.2, 1.8, the WRX, and the WRX STI. On the flip side, what can those figures be stretched to with modifications, excluding bore&stroke.

those are correct, though those are #'s to the crank HP, not to the wheels. You lose about 25% of the power unfornunetly

so

ej20t = 165-170 to the wheels

ej25t = 240 -250

dunno about the RS, but remember, these are averages, you can always get one with 178 HP stock to the wheels, lucky bastage :P

The new ej25 N/A engine I think is bumped up to 170 crank hp.

As for the older ej25 N/A (both SOHC and DOHC), they will dyno around 100whp, give or take 10hp depending on what kind of dyno you are on.

More like 110 on a conservative dyno. Unless you are unfortunate enough to own a 4EAT. Then it's more like 95.

In the last year of the EJ22 (2001 I think) it made 142 horsepower. It probably didn't make less than 125 back in '94.

Actually, Dynojets are considered a high-reading dyno. Mustang and DynoDynamics are the conservative ones.

??? That'd only be about 150 hp. I don't think there's that much loss.

On a properly calibrated Mustang Dyno, stock WRXs typically baseline at about 150-155 whp.
