you can actully still find sbc conversion kits for the corvair.. puts the engine right where the back seats are ... and logic dictates that if you can fit an old chevy 300 or 350 some where you can throw a new ls1 into the very same place!! (ive considered it many times before... but id suggest finding a fiero and checking out v8archie.com... corvairs are harder to find... but in my oppinion so much cooler)

I would be so paranoied about poping welds some where else or even splitting metal.... Im going to go 8-10 point cage mainly for ridgitiy but also for the fact that i have seen many rolled subarus and im not too tall of a guy but if i were driving them I would have another good size bump on my head!!
