Ej20
I need a couple of questions answered, ok I want to buy a jdm ej20, but I m having a hard time. Because I talked to jdm motors ditibutors and they tell me theres is a couple of diffrent kinds. There is a twin cam single turbo, single cam single turbo, twin cam twin turbo. Which one can bolt on to the wrx. I assume the twin cam single turbo works, but they told me that in japan they stop making that in 94 then they went to the 2.5 single overhead non-turbo. I dont understand? I need help. If theres a subaru tech out there I need help.

YOU HAVE A BAD INFORMATION SOURCE!
Well, I don't know where you are getting your information, but it is not too reliable. The EJ25 (Twin cam, non turbo) is not a JDM motor, but a USDM motor built for torque hungry Americans.
Any trud JDM sti ej 20 is a DOHC turbo, or DOHC sequential twin turbo (B4 Legacies).
You need to find a different source for your engines, as it sounds as though somebody is attempting to BS you at the current time.
If you are going to buy a non-sti EJ20, just get the USDM EJ20, as it is identical. We have the best non-sti EJ20 built to date. The only difference between a USDM, and JDM is the AVCS(Variable Valve Timing) that is on the JDM 01 and newer WRX's.
Deal with somebody that is all about SUBARU ENGINES. Not some know nothing engine importer. There are some good guys on both of these boards. Deal with them.
Good luck my friend!
