I use the water blade and Absorber and it works great. I have a black 04. The thing that I find leaves swirl marks in the paint are those damn brushes at the do-it-yourself car washes. I have never had this problem with any other car before. I hear that subaru's have soft, crappy paint. I just use a sponge now and no more swirlies.

I use a chamois, and I still get all the swirl marks and stuff and I have tried every method posted on here with it and nothing works. Any suggestions?

Once I'm done with the blade, I usually just do a quick pass with a soft towel to get the extra wet spots and she's clean.
I 3rd this motion! I use a few chamois at the end to make sure my Bertha is extra dry . Onc you find the touch that works for you and your car you will know. Good luck.
