qship: The Yukon isnt mine, its my dads. The all season tires are rated at 149mph. My buddy works at a tire shop and told me that winter tires are a soft compound and that the all season would last alot longer for a better price. The stock tires are sitting in my garage. I will most likly put the potenza's back on for summer. Hopefully before next winter I will have money to buy some SDR's for a winter wheel. I am not much of a twisty's guy, more of a straight line bandit. But thanks for worring about my safty.
Imprezastifan88: isnt the octane just the opposite as you go up b/c of less air? Noticed that the Yukon was a total dog while up in the mountians.
While we were there a stupid idea turned into a small road trip. After a good priced happy hour sitting we decided to go to South Park. The DD was from the area, so he knew how to get there. It was pretty funny (proably boring if sober). Anyhoo here is the pic.

This is true. My local Suby dealer even said that lower octanes work like higher ones at high altitude. Lived here all my life and I love it. No other place like it in the world and at any given stoplight you'll find atleast two subarus at anyone time.

SuboobaruWRSEX: LOL I cant belive i actually know where that is! My family owns a cabin just outside of that little hick town of fairplay.

South park is pretty damn boring though. Fairplay is the closest town to our cabin so we go in there quite a bit. Did you see the South park shop just off main street?

The second greatest thing in the town (if that) was the tourist info sign. This store?

That shop is practically the only building in that town if you can even really call it a town. I would normally blow through towns like South Park and Fairplay if it wasn't for the fact that speeding vacationers are a great source of revenue for the local government. Colorado is a great place to be and be from so if ever get the chance stop on by.

Yeah fairplay is pretty dead, but there are a few good places. One is the chocolate moose (not mouse, like the big animal with antlers lol) which has the BEST fudge ever, and there is also a cafe which has pretty damn good italian food.

Even though it is dead it really is a pretty cool place. Its not as touristy as like breck and if your like our family trying to get away from the city then it is great. I've put probably 35k miles on the subaru going up there while we built our cabin (built it ourselves) and my dad put 40k on their suburban traveling up there.
Cheers
