A change in paradigm

What if there was some sort of common database of all reputable, Impreza-friendly, aftermarket tuning shops across the world as well as all used parts dealers; and the expense and risk of doing business with them was eliminated?

Who's up to the task?

You'd be everyone's hero?

Well we all know I have the free time to do it. I don't realy have the knowledge however as I haven't really dealt with any tuning shops, but if anyone was up to it I'd more than happy to help. I have a long list of favorites full of Subaru websites to contribute.

That site is very nice.

I guess what I'm referring to is something like this. Most of have been chronically window shopping many subaru specialty shops that you have no doubts of their reliability. Gruppe-S is on the top of my list, but I wouldn't hesitate to shop with Oakos or Nino or Flat4Engineering...you know what I mean. Wouldn't it be great if we had a global, tried and true list of shops that are fairly inexpensive, customer-oriented, and really helped you bite the shipping bullet? Even further, if there was a network of used and salvage parts vendors who were everybit as trustworthy?

For instance, I have a friend who shall remain nameless, who had an idea for a monster he was creating that he wanted very badly. He made a deal with a vendor in Southeast Asia for 2 entire RB26 drivetrains, one to put in his car and one for parts and for another friend. He sent off his money, yeah pretty blindly but you know how bad you've yearned for a particular part before; Anyhow, a few thou later and still no sign of his RB's. That wouldn't happen if the 'network' was a lot tighter.

Used/Salvaged parts are alot harder to find, in terms of vendors, since most of the time that kind of product is just sold via private individuals.

I'm taking a dreamweaver class right now, I think for my final project ill put togeter a link site kinda like what you are talking about.
