Arrow Can you drive a rex without side skirts?

What I mean exactly is once you take off the side skirts can you drive in normal everyday weather? I plan on getting them painted but I am going to ship them down to DC... so that means that my car will be without side skirts for a week or two. What happens if it rains? Will water get in my car? If not is it safe to drive with them off in the winter time? Reason I ask is because in PA we have salt and salt is nasty nasty stuff. Makes a nice car look like crap! I HATE salt! lol Just thought I would ask instead of doing it and finding out that my car will get ruined over something that is not sealed by the skirts..

Thanks,
-Nigel

Under the skirts there are hole down the side, not a good place for salt and water to get into...
