Buying a WRX this month.

I think i am going to get a 03, but may get a new 02 if available.

Can anyone tell me any differences between 02 and 03 MY?

Also, looking Silver Sedan, with basically NO options. I will do all my own mods, probably starting with a short shifter.

Just bought it.

24745 before tax. Why so high? Why no haggle? They are buying me out of my accord lease (3mos remaining, plus 750$ in mileage fees)

WRX Blue, 5 speed, no options

Ill save some cash and buy mods instead.

wow, man, i think u got urs a bit high! i bought mine for 25200, with all kinds of options(mirror, armrest ext., security upgrade) and it was automatic and that was the walk out the door price. the price was first about 26000(4eat) and that was without tax, but i had my dad argue his way down to 25200 with tax and everything. thats almost 2500-3000 dollars saved.

You guys are misunderstanding me.

They are BUYING me out of my previous lease. That costs 350x 3 payments + 750 in milage charges. Thats 1800$

So I paid 24500 - 1800 = 22700

Its kinda the same as cash back

you guys have to realize that some areas may have higher wrx sales so you CAN'T argue the dealership down that much. fyi, i got mine (NJ) for 25,300 with armrest, spoiler, security.

mm..
i got my scooby (silver, no options 'cept armrest extension) for 24300 walk out price.
it was definitely the lowest price i could get down here in atl... i called a guy at another dealership since they were offering price matches --- he told me to go ahead and get it! so i did.. i wonder if it was the lowest they could have gone... base invoice on that scoob is about 23 right? + 1.5-2k depending on where you are for tag, tax, title... so it all comes to 24500-25000... i dunno though maybe they were lying or something?

it depends on the MY WRX that he just bought. If it was an '03, it might be a bit on the high side. If it was an '02, it should still be cheaper, but not by a helluva lot.
