I'm do not really know alot about Subaru... but one of my friend saw this white 2.5RS in a second hand lot and he really likes it... but the problem is he doesn't know crap about cars... that's why he told me to help him out... and i don't know anything about subarus so i need some help here...
What to look out for in a 2.5RS 1998 with about 78K
Any area that is common for rust?
Or anything i should look for?
Plz help... Thanks~
Anything is good...

Take the VIN to a Subaru dealer and ask them to check if the MAF recall was done. It's no big deal, you can get it done if it wasn't, which is unlikely. Also look for signs that the head gasket was replaced. '98s commonly had head gasket failures. Other than that, just look for signs of abuse. The oil will have been changed, of course, but probably not much else. Check the spark plugs, the wires, anything under the hood that needs replacing- or stuff that was replaced that normally wouldn't be. And of course, check for signs of collision.
Best of all, talk the selling dealer inot paying for an inspection by a Subaru dealer. If they think he is serious about buying the car they should be willing to take the chance.
