I recently totaled my '03 Nissan Sentra Spec V during the last snowstorm we had here in central PA. This means I have to find something new. I have always been a fan of Subaru, and now I think I will buy a 2.5rs.

I will probably have to order a car no matter what, because the local dealer doesn't have what I want.

Can anyone guess when the '04s will make it to central PA?

Are dealers able to order '04s yet?

Is an '04 worth the price increase?

Will I get a deal I can't pass up on an '03?

Opinions please...

 

It all comes down to personal preference. I know you don't wanna hear that but it's true... Go for the 03 bug-eyed RS or the 04 cross-eyed RS?? Personally, I love my 02 RS.. It have the HUGE fogs in the front. Between the 02-03 and 04, I doubt there's any differences in performance.. I'm not sure because I haven't seen a specs for them yet.. I got my 02 RS 2 months ago for only $13,800 with 7200 miles on it.. That's another thing.. you'll probably get a really good deal on an 03 now. Good luck with whatever you choose and no matter which one you get, you'll love it..

I was leaning towards an '04 because I like the styling a little more, but I think now I'm going back to the '03. My girlfriend and I saw one last night parked on the street, and I really do like them. She liked it too, which is amazing because she thinks all the cars I like are ugly.

Hopefully I can save a couple thousand on an '03 and put that towards mods.

Originally I thought I was going to buy a '00 or '01, but they are hard to find with decently low miles. One dealer around here wanted $15,000 for a '99 with 50k on it, and it was an automatic. I would rather buy a new car for a few thousand more and get a warranty and roadside assistance and everything else. I do like the styling of the '00 and '01s better, but I'm not sure it makes sense for me to buy used right now. The only thing I'm really missing in a new 2.5rs is the styling and the lsd, right?
