Burns is out of next years WRC in tumour shock
You might wabt to change the story on the cover page of i-club:
RALLY ace Richard Burns has a brain tumour - ruling him out of next year's World Championships.
The Brit driver, 32, had scans after collapsing at the wheel of his Porsche earlier this month.
Burns will need radiotherapy but doctors believe the 2001 world champion will recover completely.
David Lapworth, boss of Burns' team Subaru, said: "We are very concerned at this news about Richard.
"There will always be future rallies and future championships, but for now Richard needs to put his own health first.
"Richard will always be welcome at Subaru and we hope that he may again, when fully recovered, work with us once more.
"The team has offered to do what it can to help Richard back to health and return as one of the leading drivers in the WRC."
Subaru now need a new partner for Norwegian Petter Solberg, newly crowned as world champ after winning in Wales.
Colin McRae - set to sit out 2004 after losing his drive at Citroen - has been mentioned.
But Scotland’s 1995 world title winner plans to race in the Paris-Dakar Rally in January, which would keep him out of the championship.
Lapworth added: "We were excited about the prospect of the Burns and Solberg line-up at Subaru next season, and until recently were optimistic that Richard would recover in time for the first rally.
"We have not yet had time to consider all driver options for next year, but we hope to make an announcement in the coming weeks."
...It's really sad

I knew something was bad when they said he passed out like that

that's terrible news. i certainly hope that Richad Burns recovers completely, even if he isn't able to return to the WRC. that's not the kind of thing that you wish on anyone.

It is tragic that Richard Burns has a brain tumor, but I think it is amazing and fantastic that the doctors can issue such a positive prognosis. Dude has a brain tumor and the doctors are saying he will likely fully recover! Let's hope it's true. I lost a class mate to brain cancer.
He had a headache that would not go away for a couple months. Finally went to the doctor and was dead three days later.
