better? evo or WRX

what is wrong with the spec V? i'm just wondering? you need more power? better handling?
i was thinking about trading in my 03 spec V for WRX a while back... but i changed my mind after running mine in autox and seeing stock wrx running also. stock for stock wrx's handling just not as good as the V. (not try to start a flame... it's just a fact)
id' say get a wrx and use the few Gs you saved modding it. i go on evolutionm.net alot and seems like most problems ppl have is the tranny.
p.s. STi in autox with a good driver is S-I-C-K!

well my problem is that the spec v just doesnt have the power that i would of thought it should have. Dont get me wrong, i love all that torque and all, and in city driving its awsome, but on the highway and highend it just doesnt have it. Plus its front wheel and i really love awd. I like subarus way over a mitsubishi, the only reason im asking the questions, because in most minds the faster car is always better. But i feel that a wrx and evo is a lot closer in performance and moddability. They are both 2.0 4 cycl. Im sure if subaru released the ej20 running at 19psi. Im sure the wrx would be close if not better then a evo power wise. I just dont know, i might just hold out for another year and just get a sti. Let me here your guys opinions.

I'd get an STI.
The evo is a great car to drive. But it's still a mitsu. The value is gonna tank. The thing is gonna break. The tranny is gonna suck. Their engineering isn't the best. I would get the evo....if it wasn't a mitsubishi.
Besides their engineering let downs, their warranties are for crap and they will find every way to not warranty something.
I have seen a couple with tranny problems and one guy in particular...they just told him to drive it til it breaks...instead of taking it in and fixing it....and it had less than 500 miles on it.
Now they are sending reps out to the tracks on track days and having them shoot video and photos and taking down lisense numbers.....something breaks and you go in to get it fixed...your plate pops up on their list....they deny the claim and say you raced it...you wanna see the pictures...here is the track and time you did it and blah blah.
The sell you a car set up to race and then they don't let you do it.
But the STI get the SCCA membership..race it and love it...it's a much better car.

Also, since when is SOA known for their great warranty and claims policy? How about their killer paint jobs?
The Evo has excellent engineering proven over the course of 8 generations.
Oh, and I havent heard of many evos knocking...
Don't diss when you dont know your ****, I spend hours on both these forums, have seen both in person, ridden in an evo and driven a wrx. Both cars have upsides and downsides... basically for me it will all come down to money.

Idk guys, im a big fan of mitsu and subys, but when it comes down to it i brather have a suby then a mitsu. there is something about mitsu that doesnt scream, hey we make quality cars. Just look at all the damn recalls and lemon galants out there. Plus has anyone seen the damn evo interior, **** i have seen civics look nicer inside. just food for thought

Personal history makes it a cold day in hell I would ever buy a Mitsu. I have had a bunch.
As for Subaru's I have owned 5 of them. Never had an issue getting waranty service. Never any problems.
All you evo lovers go back to where you came. If all you do is keep bringing up the same old arguments on why the evo is better you have already lost. As most of the heavy users of the I-Club have Subaru's.
The STI is Faster than the EVO.

So if someone comes here and asks " Should I buy an evo ot an STI?" The damn answer should be certain. Buy the STI. The reverse is true at evolution.net.

Man, just get the car that suits you the most. Test drive both of them, multiple times. Especially if you decide to go with the EVO, test drive them (if they allow you to) over and over. After all, it is a semi-expensive car that will not hold it's value, so if you drive it for six months and decide the payment is too much or you don't like the car, be prepared to lose several thousand on it.
Other than that, if you had the cash, get the EVO, I would. : )

If the numbers were swiched from Sti to Evo everytime an EVO owner said 'the evo is faster end of story' you guys would say 'Yeah if you wanna go in a straight line or drag race!'

Ask a guy in a ford forum what car is better - Mustang or Camaro.
What do you think he sould say? Ford Mustang of course. Ask the same question in the GM forum and just the oposite.
If some one here is sick of their evo and they want to give it to me I will take it for free. I need the second best car to have as another toy to see how good my STI really is. And yes I have test driven an evo a few times.
