Anyone using radar detectors?? (not sure if thisis the right place for it)

consider getting a V 1 after my STi
but the prize is EWWWW!!!

anyone have suggestions

and don't they used to give those "i ll pay your ticket if you get one" Gurantees?

The V1 is the best thing out there. It's worth the money, but you're free to settle for something cheaper. Car and Driver did a review of radar detectors somewhat recently, you can probably find it on their site.

Definitely the V1. Had it in my A4 Wagon and moved it into my 03 WRX Wagon. Sending it in to get the most up to date version. Hardwire it in and you will be happy.

It would be nice if they streamlined the looks of the v1... its too damn ugly I wouldn't put that in my car

I've been using radar detectors since around 79', I've had quite a few. So far the V1 is the best hands down. The direction arrows alone are worth the price. I have an escort in my wife's car and it's OK but when it goes off I wonder where the cop is.

This is exactly why I could never use anything else but a V1.
