about to get a wrx, ?'s about first mod
So for all you out there, if you could do it again what would be your very first mod? turbo timer, boost controller, what?
I'm new to the whole subaru thing so I'll need help. Right now I got a deposite on a 03 wrx in sonic yellow. I'm just waiting for my insurance check. I did have a 99 civic si with lots of stuff but its totaled now, and I wanted to get out of the honda/acuras cuz there's way to many out where I live. But there is no one with a wrx around in this area.
So help me out with what to get for it.
oh yeah its already got the short throw are the dealer installed ones good? I liked it when I drove it.

First Mod...17" or 18", wheels and a good set of tires. Subarus have an odd wheel offset, so read up on what fits and what doesn't before you buy anything.
Forget the TT...you don't need it on a WRX.
An MBC is a lgood, low-buck mod, but make sure you have a boost gage to set it properly. And, beware of excessive boost on a stock engine.
Sway bars, solid end links, and maybe a set of mild (1.0"-1.5") lowering springs would also be good early mods.
Drive, and get to know your Subie before you invest too much $$$ in mods. And, read the Subaru forums...all of them. They contain a wealth of information...and may allow you to avoid other's mistakes.
Enjoy your new ride...

Thanx for the reply. I'm hoping to pick the car up thursday if I get my insurance check today.
How is the offset wierd? I had my civic lowered but even with the camber kit the tires wore out uneven.
