haha, I meant the other way around. But non of sendan or coupe have folding rear seat. I think maybe the wagons... However, 02-03 does have a small trunk access...

i dont know if anyones mentioned this yet but the 98 2.5rs motors overheat at times, might want to think about that too, but anyways, if you plan to get parts

Whats that supposed to mean? lol

PS and if you get a 98, like someone else said, make sure it's had the head gaskets replaced recently, or it might be getting ready to grenade on you.

If you're going to pay 11,000 for an RS why not just pay a little more for a WRX. I'll be honest I love the looks of the 00-01 RS's but I'd never give up my bugeye WRX for one. Why bother with aftermarket turbo kits when you can have the reliability and quality of an OEM turbo set up.

I bought my 03 WRX with 38,000 miles for $15,000, for one's in the 60,000 miles range you can get them for $13,000 or less. Just takes some looking. Don't buy from a dealer, find a private owner. It took me 4 months to find mine but that's because i was looking for sedona red with no spoiler. I passed up an 03 with 35,000 for $14,000 but it had some aftermarket parts which lead me to believe it hadn't had an easy life. Maybe the prices aren't the same over on the west coast but I"m sure not going to pay 11,000 for an RS when i can get a WRX for 14 or 15,000. Just my .02.

because you can buy a wrecked wrx for that "little bit extra" and have the best of both worlds.... after the swap that is.
also IMO, OEM turbo set ups dont stay that way for long

Whats wrong with Oakland????Besides the hyphee movement I mean. I grew up in Sac., Fair Oaks to be exact and even that's a huge step closer to civilization then Loomis. Plus Oakland cops are actually pretty cool compared to Fckin Folsom PD and Sac city Sheriffs. Never have I been pulled over by OPD and been ticketed or asked to pop my hood. They got bigger fish to fry obviously, unlike cops in the Sac area who got nothing to do except mess with all those teeny-boppers who themselves got nothing better to do than "cruise" around in their STI's

PS If you cant heel toe or left foot brake it doesnt matter which RS you buy. Youll get get PWNT regardless

i beleive the 98 is a DOHC while the 00 and 01 are SOHC. The SOHC motor is more favorable in my opinion. but i do plan on swaping in a WRX motor
