4dr's are still teh_awesome

i chose the 4dr because it was only what i could find, plus it has actually made everything easier than a 2dr

agreed... If you were to do it all in one step.
I am currently collecting the bits and knowlage to do an custome turbo kit.
After I have that in and set up (7psi max) im going to start saving and looking around for an ej257 block, and crank (if not whole rotating assembily) then start building that slowly with forged h beam rods, and forged pistons.
Then sart picking up my valve train bits springs, valves, retainers, cams ect. when ever money permits.
Once all of that is in one place at one time Ill swap in the ej 257 block with sohc heads with all the valve train bits and bump up the boost.
After a wile I expect my trans and rear end to fail so I will start to collect the drive train stuff (not too sure what gear box I want but the driver controled center diff keeps sounding better and better)
after all that is done and its one mean little subaru Im going to fit it with a 22b body kit, wider tires, and a role cage.

Yeah it will cost a bit more in the long run but I just dont have the kind of $$ laying around right now to pick up a wrecked sti. Plus, whos to say subaru wont come out with the next big thing and have the price for sti bits drop because of it?

Those are my humble plans for my car. basically I can wate to have a mean car again and it works best for my income situation to do it this way. Once its all done I will start getting into some racing (dont know if I want to do rally cross, auto cross, or road track).
For me this car is a daily driver that I plan to keep around for a race car after im done driving it daily.

all the ones on the usdm market are acutlly gm8 (4 door) gm6 (2 door) as dictated by the 4,5,and 6th didgets in your vin number.
but because they look like the jdm gc8 most commonly refer to them as that.

I feel you on the cutless lovin. I had an 85 brogham..

I find it's not an issue of making it work in the impreza coupe, after all the passingers seat reclines.... alot!
Its a matter of trying to get the girl with a 4 door in the first place. LOL

00-01:
rear LSD, lighter, sun roof, coupe (GM6)
stock shift **** is heavy to absorb tranny vibration
stock fog lights
no glove compartment light
map reading light
no trunk light
rear spoiler
white face gauge
16x7 5x100 wheels
no daytime running light
hood scope and vents (great if you want to go turbo with TMIC)
No center arm rest and no trunk access in the rear seats
black side skirts
rear windshield defroster works okay
tape deck
CF trim
no inside trunk release/escape latch

02-03:
no LSD, heaver, no sun roof, no coupe
stock shift **** is light
glove compartment light
no fog lights (I think it's option)
no map reading light
no trunk light
no rear spoiler
black face gauge
16x6.5 5x100 wheels
daytime running light
no hood scope and vents
center arm rest and small trunk access in the rear seats
no side skirts
rear windshield defroster sucks
no tape deck
silver trim
inside trunk release/escape latch

that's all I can think of for now...
