The hatch might be redeemable, but the sedan is completely, utterly hopeless. I used to think that some of subaru's older imprezas lacked in the looks department, but this one definitely takes the cake. SO bland and ugly.

saw the 08 wrb wrx wgn today at capitol subaru. Its much better looking in person, does not remind me of a focus as much as I feared. the interior is much nicer also. I wouldnt run out to get one, but itll probably be my 04 replacement ~201* .

The sedan is lacking in outstanding design, the taillights might be the only redeemable quality of the back end. The hatch does it for me, but I have always been a wagon aficionado.

The one thing I am glad that they have done is put that mesh grill in. Down with the mustache grill!!!

The sedan does look alot better in the darker color. What is that dark grey or black? And what the deal with the mesh grill, a dealer option? I don't think I like the instrument cluster though...

Red face

Well, we have sold a whopping one WRX since they hit the deck and we have 6 others waiting for a home. The general opinion is "ewwww!'. Sorry to say. Perhaps it is a knee jerk reaction like the '06 face lift. But Subaru canned that designer ~

Oh yes, the 'mesh grill' option is 100 times better then the original grill!!!

My son and I checked out a 2.5i with Premium Package at our local dealer (no WRX's on the lot :-( ) - I like the hatcback, much better looking in person than in pix, but the back end of the sedan is bad - looks like an old Geo (can't think of the name off hand). The improvement in interior quality is very obvious, and I loved the steering wheel..... Pretty roomy, too. I agree that it looks better in darker colors. Would not mind a black WRX hatchback at all....
