2006 Impreza: Up Close And Personal

The new Impreza was officially launched in Japan
over the weekend, so today I took a stroll to the local
Subaru offices to check it out. These pics were taken
at the Shinjuku offices. Enjoy!

I took this pic from the brochure. Looks like the base model
1.5i will have the 'bug-eyes'-era taillights

Picked up some useless JDM goodness too!

I just thought it'd be cool to have. USDM and JDM Imprezas have
either silver or black buttons, but those red ones are from the S203.

Just somethin' different that nobody will notice! Two of them are for friends.

Catch that R2 Custom poster in the background? "It's Bitter Taste".

Maybe not the best phrase when trying to sell a car.

You know how much better the wagon would look with the '02-'03 fog lights in that bumper???? Uber pimp!

I like the new oem wheels a lot...

Japan is not known for it's English acdvertisement campaigns. It is still my dream job to go back there and work at an advertising firm, and be a Quality Assurance inspector

Just sit there and giggle at the FUBAR slogans, then tell them to go back and try again. My JDM wife thinks it is a good idea

Like the wagon more than the Sedan. Hopefully Subaru of America will bring an STI wagon

There's a thread on here about an STi Wagon, it's a decked out Forester. Not sure if it's coming to the US or not...

Ah they went with small fogs

At least they're using the same rear lights on the wagon and sedan.

The more I see the '06 design, the more it grows on me. Still like the 02-03 design better.

As for the 04-05, I don't like the wagon front bumper, looks too rounded under to me.

Worst case scenario....only have to deal with it for two years til Subaru changes it again....

im starting to like it a lot...hint for people who dont like it. put it as the background on your computer and dont change it for a month. by the time the month is over it will probably grow on you and you will like it just as much as when the 02-03's came out...i used to think the bugeyes were the ugliest thngs ever, now i own one and think they are the nicest imprezas to date.
