: do u know how many defects there were on 2002

: engine defects to be exact
: transmission barrings had problems and they got changed in 2003 man
: basically u bought a problem lol

uhhhh no....nothing engine related...the only prob is clutch shudder which is covered under warranty...thats all i can think of....

Actually, wasn't the 2002 model *better* then the 2003 because of the fact that our clutch does not have that preventive measure and our ECU was easier to tune with?

The only problem I've heard of on pre 2004 Imprezas/WRX's is the clutch shudder which as others have mentioned is covered under the warranty.
