'03 or '04
I currently own a protege5 and am trying to decide whether to turbo the p5 or buy a WRX.
If I go the WRX route, I plan to get a manual wagon. Would you guys recommend the '03 or '04?
I like the looks of both... just curious if their are any advantages that one has over the other.
Thanks.

IMHO, the '03's are so much better looking than the '04's..
The '04's look like a passanger sedan/wagon, vs. the '03's looking like muscle rally cars... Again, only my personal opinion.
I bought an '03 a couple weeks ago, even though I didnt have enuf $$ and would have liked to have waited a few months, but I really didnt want the '04...

Yeah I am.
I like the idea of being one of the few turbo p5's compared to one of many WRX owners. Plus I currently have a few options that I prefer over the WRX wagon... i.e. leather, moonroof, sport shift auto. I am just weighing my options at the moment. I just want to make sure the engine and tranny will last. The Rods in the p5 are good for 225HP (the FM kit I plan to add will net about 200 HP) and I plan to add an auxillary transmission cooler to insure the life of my tranny.
So basically I am still weighing all my options... i.e. losing warranty

Warranty, schmarranty. what are the odds that you'll have a mojor repair in the first 50,000 miles? Pretty slim. You're depriving yourself of a lot of fun over a <10% you'll ever have a repair over maybe $100. Personally, if it weren't for the fact my clutch was under the TSB (someday I'll get it done...) I'd have voided mine by now.
