I would look into turbo kits for the P5 first. There are a lot of WRXs, but not many turbo Proteges. Worth some investigation.

Warranty, schmarranty. what are the odds that you'll have a mojor repair in the first 50,000 miles? Pretty slim. You're depriving yourself of a lot of fun over a <10% you'll ever have a repair over maybe $100. Personally, if it weren't for the fact my clutch was under the TSB (someday I'll get it done...) I'd have voided mine by now.
