This car is awesome!!! I am very happy with my decision.
Breakin period- Conflicting opinions. Went with dealer mechanics decision half way. He said to get on the car after 200 to teach the computer my driving style. I went half way keeping it under 5 1/2 k and only doing so every once in a while.
Tranny- The stick has losened up a bit and I like the feeling of it much better. The tight pattern is very easy to shift and offers VERY quick shifting through the gears.
Turbo- With some advice on my driving style going from an american car to a turbo I am loving the responce and the turbo lag is almost unnoticeable now.
Speed- Well, 1 speeding ticket today. 85 in a 55. But it did give me a chance to do some off roading while I was pulling over. This car goes over grass and dirt like a 4x4 truck. Carful out there guys. With this car its almost impossible to go slow, and it stands out so 50 will be lookin for you. Lucky I work in a place where it can be taken care of.
Overall- This car is Fing awesome! If your planning on getting one dont walk, run to the dealer and get in one of these bad boys.

I love my STI too! At first after break-in I thought the top-end (5-7K) wasn't as strong as I was hoping. It's got great midrange torque and maybe I thought it would scream to redline from there. Overall though I am totally stoked, actually can't be complaining. The break-in process is full of myths and different trains of thought. I would follow the manual though and keep it below 4K for the first 1k miles. You can always re-set the ECU after that by unplugging the battery for a couple hours... There's a post that explains exactly how you reset the ECU. I'd feel safer breaking it slowly, reset the ECU, and drive it hard after that. A 10 second car must be CRAZY!!!
