i honestly dont think anyone bid, look at bid history, every person who bid had no history or past feedback. i have a felling seller did false bidding.

People have been doing it for M3's and M5's for years, this would also happen on other limited edition cars. There's cars, then there's cars that a whole bunch of people want and then supply and demand kicks in.

However, i do agree that bidding on the right to buy a car thats not even out is pretty retarded.

The most f____d up thig is that his previous auction for the mazda RX8 had the same exact template (same bull$hit statement about owing the most amazing sports car of our decade, what a smoker).

yes BMW owners can justify paying a $18k markup for the M5 at my friendly neighborhood BMW dealer, but were talking subaru (small company and all)here!

I thought that SOA would "advise" dealers to only sell @ MSRP or less, since they made the same recommendations to dealers with the WRX, or is this model exempt just because its "rare" or "limited production".

(had a friend who got jacked on a 2001 Integra Type-R you wouldnt believe what he bought into, freakin dumba$$!! lol).
