I wanna See some Magazine Test drive a Production STI already. they Drove the EVO since its coming out in a month or 2. The Evo is very impressive and so is the STI (i think). So far ppl at Mitsu said that they may be getting an *** wooping by Subi because the 2.5 liter engine for the US market was never predicted to happen. The HP and Torque performance is better on the STI but i never seen a STI (or SUbaru car) that can handle .97 lateral g's.
Is the overall experience of the STI gonna pull through or is the EVO still gonna dominate on the Road?

Yeah I would love a quicker rack. The last STI was 2.6. Much worse than evo's 2.1. Also don't forget, the EVO's 0-60 time is w/ a 6k clutch drop!
I don't think you'll have to go as high w/ the gobs of torque the STI has.

I just saw a Japanese video is about the 2004 STI , they do a top speed of 236 km/h 1/4 mile 12.9 , and solo track 1 second less than the STI 2003, of course this is in japan , whith japanese specs and people that know how to drive and also a race in the suzuka track: 2003 STI, 2002 STI Spec C, EVO VII RS, EVO VII GRS, at the end the old STI SPEC C won, but don't forget they race against the EVO VII no the EVO VIII , thats the race I want to see.

Just a lil Info...
WE are getting the 2.5 STI when this year but did you know that Subaru is working on a 3.0 STI for the Japanese market. Only side affect is that the 6mt cannot withstand the amount of torque the 3.0 can dillever on a constant basis. the 3.0 is suppose to make 350 hp and X torque. The 6mt can withstand over 350 torque but not for as long a period as it can 300 torque.
this was read in either "AUTO WEEK" or "Road and Track"

So we are getting a very sticky set of tires for a street car, and this is why Subaru is calling them "Summer" radials, just as Lexus warned me about the tires on our IS300 (claimed will only last 20k).
To finish the comparison, a Hoosier d.o.t race tire is rated at 0(zero) and the stickiest comp t/a's are 60, along with Kuhmo's at a 75.
160 from the Potenza's will test very well on the skid pad for the media and Subaru doesnt have to spend money on making the chassis over stiff.
MY 2 CENTS WORTH..........
