Who else is getting the STI ... and what are you going to do to it

Stock, stock, stock. I got too deep into the tuning and modding world with my celica (engine swaps, rebuild, the whole deal) and now I just want a fast, stock STi that I won't have to wonder whether it'll start in the morning. Also be secure in the knowledge that I'll be able to kick the crap outta that buzzing bee civic on the freeway :-D

Boston area Subaru dealers
In response to an earlier post about Boston area dealers. Unfortunately, the only dealer in the area with a good reputation is Village Subaru in Action (formerely Concord Subaru, but they moved even a little further out).
http://village.subarudealer.com/.
I've purchased two cars from them, ten years apart, without hassle. They are a little far if you're coming from Cambridge, but it's worth it if you want to a pleasant buying experience.
Avoid Natick Subaru. They are stereotypical car salespeople. You know, the salesguy goes to the manager and comes back with what's supposedly his best offer, which was ridiculous. And I hadn't even asked for a quote -- just asked what they had in stock! By contrast my negotiation with Village Subaru was pleasant and lasted about 30 seconds -- since the first price they gave me was about $2,600 less than Natick Subaru.
I've also heard nothing good about Cityside or Norwood.

DVD player with LCD screen, big *** sound system
De-badge, even the subaru emblem on the grill
Tint
BasIC exaust, and intake, as long as my warrantee is not voided, will work that through dealer.
Personalized plate, I was thinkin' "evo kllr".
j/k I love that car too... till I heard about the STI

For me? Stock Stock Stock. Engine, exhaust, drivetrain, everything internal. If I even had the inkling of modding anything, I'd get Volk TE37s (damn, those rims go good with anything) since I am not too fond of BBSs.. I'm a BIG proponent of keeping hot cars in pristine condition.
As for everything else, I'd get the car with no stereo with the car pre-wired. Then I'd probably get a new Alpine system and install it..

I'm going to buy a set of snow tires. But first the car will get a diamond gloss finish and undercoating job from Ziebart Tidy Car to protect the paint. I got it for my last car and the paint looked like showroom to the day I sold it. Then it's off to the mod shop for an Alpine stereo system and Alpine 7" 16:9 built in flat panel with GPS. No engine or suspension mods planned.

Mark my words. The STi Will not be a dime over 32,000. It will probably be under. The target audience is 27-32 year old guys/girls making 60k+ per year. More than that an we can go out and bye a BMW. Subaru is not ready to attack that class of car.
Don't attack me. I love Subaru.
But it's not a BMW.

well, I got a quote from a dealer at the autoshow saying it will be minimum 33,000 US and probably more unless I put down a deposit. But I think it might be a scare tactic. he did say that if I put downa deposit he would lock the price at 33 grand US.
