Who else is getting the STI ... and what are you going to do to it

OK ... it may be a bit premature .. I don't even know when my car will arrive, but I am second on the list ... woohoo
I've had too much free time the last couple of days, so I've been putting my future specs together .. I'm sure there must be others doing the same. I hope blue isn't the only color, my preferences in descending order are white, silver, red.
I want all my major mods waiting in the garage before the car arrives ti exhaust, cf trunk, cf hood, cf mirrors, cf anything else that is available, AP Brake kit, light weight 18" wheels (don't know ... TE37's, SE37's, Gram Light 57Pros, SSR Comps - although they are a bit played), no suspension yet (If it is possible to make this car handle better, it will take MANY hours at the track to know how to di it). .... I want engine mods to make 400 track-reliable track useable HP. .... That's it to start
I want to go all out on this beast .... after all it is replacing my Lotus Exige. The standard WRX was just too tame ... I was actually waiting for the Evo, but the STI trumps it.

I'm in your area and I'm curious about your pre-order since I'm looking to do the same.
Which dealership did you put your deposit with? Cityside? Carmart? Natick?
What were the terms of your deposit? Color choice? Gauranteed MSRP? Refundable?
Any details appreciated.
Edit: Oh, and you're nuts to be talking about mods! I'll be more than thrilled to drive a "bone stock" STi.

I wish you luck in finding a dealer who will sell at a couple hundred over MSRP, but I guess it isn't impossible. Let us know how it goes. I won't even live here in 6 months, so dealers reputations don't matter. They seemed very nice. Subaru makes the car. They just sell it.

hey
i will more likely be getting one, blue of silver..
tuning wise. whatever shiv or bozz performance can do to make power.
suspension, proly stock w/lowering springs for a bit, then co's down the road.
advan rc 2's, 17x8.5/9 with 245 or 255's and probably powdercoated black.
if i think of more i will edit.

Beldrueger,
Yeah, I'm probably with you ... was a wrx-gonna-mod-the-f-outta-it guy... then caught wind of the Evo and it was all over for Subaru. Now, I'm back since the STi is likely to stomp (after Mitsubishi held out on the AYC/ACD) I'm going to do quite a lot to it but it really depends on the specs to start and we don't have a whole heck of a lot of those. The torque gains are going to really depend on how durable the new 6-speed proves to be. Otherwise you're looking at a whole lotta tranny to handle big HP gains. If the new block (whichever they made the 2.5 from...don't think we know that yet) can handle the increased boost...same length headers into a twin-scroll titanium impeller turbo with more boost will be early on. If you really want to lose weight...keep your tank at 1/4 all the time (like a lot of guys that street race do) and if you're going nuts with cf everything (which I think is kinda ...well...sorta a waste of cash in ways) you could go for the Atkins diet and eat at Subway a whole lot.
