Stock BBS Rim question...
Does anyone know if the Stock BBS rims are really worth $800.00 a pop (so says Rallitech) and does anyone know if they are fundementally better than say Top of the line Volk Racing Forged Gram Lights?
The reason I ask is, I obviously want to use the best rims for summer/spring/fall use and use the worse set of wheels for winter. I don't want to buy rims that aren't as good as the stock BBS rims and use them most of the season while the better BBS only see winter. It just wouldn't make sense.

Er no.............$800 US each.
I think they are a Subaru-specific BBS wheel and that's why they are outageously expensive. A nice set of BBS RG-R forged rims sell for about $440 each at Tire Rack, but I don't think they'll clear the Brembos.
I'm thinking of getting some Volk CE28Ns as my summer wheels (lighter than the BBS rims) and using the BBS ones for winter........

Even some of the UK wheels won't fit. I think they have to be the STI's from the last 2 years in order to fit.

Must haves:
Paint/rust/undercoating protection
Car Audio
Extra set of winter rims and tires
other extras:
DVD navigation with 6.5" widescreen monitor (almost a must have)
HID headlights (maybe)
window tinting (most likely)
body skirt (maybe but way down the road)
so we HAVE to get the BBS rims with the purchase of an STI? Is there no way to get some kind of lower grade stock rims, such as the stock wrx rims? Why should we be forced to buy these rims with the purchase of this car. You think you could sell the BBS rims for around the same price as they were sold the rims from the dealership? They are probably the only ones that fit with the callipers.

At one time I wanted to change the stock rims out for something else. But alas; I was ignorant. Once I saw them in person and discovered how well crafted they are and how much they are worth I quickly decided they will be my primary wheel. You should be happy you are getting a wheel this good.
