The reason I ask is, I obviously want to use the best rims for summer/spring/fall use and use the worse set of wheels for winter. I don't want to buy rims that aren't as good as the stock BBS rims and use them most of the season while the better BBS only see winter. It just wouldn't make sense.
Your talking about $800 Canadian, right? I remember seeing a price on those wheels and can't remember exactly what the cost was. I know it was something outrageous in price though. For that price, i'd go with Volk TE-37's!

Will the 17" BBS wheels from the WRX clear the Brembo's on the STi? My brother got rid of his WRX but kept the BBS wheels. If they fit they'll be my winter wheels.

Even some of the UK wheels won't fit. I think they have to be the STI's from the last 2 years in order to fit.
This is true...I think the only Prodrive rims that will fit a STi are the PFF7's and maybe the P7's...I know the GC-07's won't. It will be interesting to find a wheel that fits with a good offset and clears the brakes.

so we HAVE to get the BBS rims with the purchase of an STI? Is there no way to get some kind of lower grade stock rims, such as the stock wrx rims? Why should we be forced to buy these rims with the purchase of this car. You think you could sell the BBS rims for around the same price as they were sold the rims from the dealership? They are probably the only ones that fit with the callipers.
