They are probably the only ones that fit with the callipers.

The STi's Brembo rotors and calipers are physically much larger than the WRX requiring a wheel with a much larger inside circumference for proper wheel clearance. There is no way stock WRX wheels will fit the STi. As for aftermarket rims there currently are very few options (Prodrive) and they require long dollars to procure.
Curiously the folks with 350Z's and G35 Coupes (6SMT) are not repotting difficulty in finding aftermarket rims to fit though they use the exact same Brembo brake kit. But their wheel offset is different than Subie.
Does anyone know the mfr. of the dark grey/anthracite rims used on the silver DTM STi showcar featured here several months back?
Those were hella hot!

I wouldn't worry just yet.......it's gonna be a few months before this will be a real concern.
There are several options:
(1) Wait 'til Tire Rack list ones that will fit.....a lot of these will be lower-end brands and a damn site cheaper than Volks and Advans etc.
(2) You could always fit a set of decent high-performance all-season tires, like Michelin Pilot Sport A/S to use all year round.
(3) Buy a set of genuine JDM/UK 17 x 7.5" STi (cast) wheels, which are available through www.Rallispec.com for $399 each.
(4) See what Prodrive come up with......the STi 8 type UK has been around for several months and Prodrive already offer 18" upgraded rims (check out www.subaru.co.uk).
