so as everyone who says the STI is going to be to expensive, your wrong. The EVO which i did have the pleasure of driving is an
incredible machine, but with both options that my friend got it put
the price to 31,500. Is that to much? What if the STI is less than
that? Would that make everyone happy? Lets just say its going to be less than a fully loaded EVO.... Believe it or not....

hey buddy.. are u serious? cause i read in the new sportcompactcar magazine that itll be from 31,000 to 35,000... besides the sti has 300hp which is more than the evo so shouldnt it be more expensive? and will there be a 2005 and 2006 sti?

downshift- you need to check your sources, magazines are one of the worst places to look for unreleased info. Their estimates are almost as bad as dealers. There are knowledgable people who know more than any magazine that post on these forums, I'd believe them before a mag.
Also quit asking about the 2005/2006 STI, Who the hell knows? If they discontinue it just buy one used. Calm down its not even released yet!

I've heard it WAY too many times now that it is going to be $30,995. In fact, someone very early on in this forum said $30,995 and if he was wrong he was going to buy us all a beer. I can't find that thread, but I know it was said. A friend of mine on another board has said, through a friend of his that drove one (aparently down in philly), it will be $30,995. I'm keeping my fingers seriously crossed and praying to the god that gave us turbos and AWD that the price is below $35,000 out the door.

who was it that first said it was going to be 30,995? Cuz he is

I work at a new Subaru dealership in the Salt Lake City area. We had 2 factory reps out last week for training/demo's no he did not have an STi. However I asked him about priced and he stated 33K would be close to sticker. I would think a factory rep would be fairly close on price. He also said they received a shipment in vancouver of the STi's but I don't know when they are going to start sending them to dealers.

EEZSTI- your wrong and they lied to you. What dealership do you work at and what were the reps name. As for them telling you that price, they arent supposed to release the actual price till subaru itself releases it to the public. They do know the price
but what they told you was a lie. Why would they lie? Cause no one is supposed to know the price and they are still keeping it under wraps... What is it that you do there at that dealership.

Your quote there makes me very happy. I was flipping a coin here on getting the EVO. If the sti really is @ 31k its a hands down easy win. sti is my car. If your price is not close than this is for future referance (
