STi opinion survey from Subaru

Did anyone else get an email from buzzmail@subaru.com asking about preferred body and wheel colors? 8 combos were available: 4 (body: blue, white, silver, black) X 2 (wheel: gold vs. silver). I assume this is for them to get a rough idea of how many of each variety they should make and send to dealers. Still, I wasn't sure whether the silver option was for real or not, so I thought I'd pass it along.
Funny thing was, even though my favorite is blue with silver rims (my current WRX setup), I found myself choosing blue with gold out of respect for the WRC car.

I voted for white/gold.
GO with the evo first and ask questions later. My delivery date from my dealer said 2/10 so probably 2/15 i'm guessing. One thing is for sure is that I wounldn't be surprised if the evo 8 out handles the sti, but then gain it might be the other way around. Anyways i'm sure reselling the evo for the sti wouldn't be that differicult and only time will tell which is better but, I want my car now!

Let's for a second set aside the color option issue,.........I am so glad to see SOA has finally smelled the coffee and is getting "us" the people who matter, involved in this process. I was working at a Subaru dealer when the RS was introduced and people liked it but felt they (SOA) could have done somethings differently. My order was faxed to SOA the day after the press release, I got confirmation back from SOA the next day( my girlfriend is my salesperson) I checked the " any" box for color, because if the STI comes in Spongebob Square pants yellow and pink, then I'll be a yellow and pink sti 300hp drivin' fool. I wanted a WRX in 1993 when alot of people were in middle school, so now that not only can we see a WRX everyday on I-95 , but you can actually get a STI in the states,........WHO CARES ABOUT THE COLOR,......
Show your true colors and dont worry about color,..I see people saying things like, "I dont like this, or I think this is too much, .."
those are'nt die-hard STI fans.
Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for all the non-Subaru people who bought the WRX in the last 2 years,..they are the ones that have made the STI able to come here, think about it,.................
COLOR DOESNT MATTER,..JUST CONTENT.

Spongebob Square pants yellow and pink! Sweet. Can I get that with polka-dot rims? I'm pretty sure BBS makes those... By the way, how old are your kids? Please tell me you have kids. Otherwise, such fluency with el spongebob raises alarms.
But 944 turbo guy speaks the truth, even if he bought the wrong porsche. We should all be thrilled that the STi has arrived, and, more important, arrived in much better shape than in any other world market, Japan included. Indeed, the general consensus on this board seems to corroborate that enthusiasm.
Still, I have a feeling that I will chicken out. Yes, the new STi kicks ***, but I am perfectly happy with my modded WRX. Am I the only one?

Yes my 3 year old has everything Spongebob,..and yes I bought the wrong Porsche if you want to race it and spend 100 grand and cost you 2-3 marriages,..but for $ 40k and 400hp at the wheels weighing 2250lbs, nothing else comes close( for roadracing)

How about this Dave,..I was actually considering buying 2. One for my by that time, wife to drive, and the other possibly building a car to campaign in Speedvision Gt series. Audi is dooing very well, however, SCCA doesnt like 4 wheel drive and after alot of wins they ( scca) tend to change the rules. Some of you may remember the Audi's back in 1989,..
Anyway it was a thought,..it sure is cheaper than buying a 911 GT3-rs for $ 150k,....used at that.
944 turbo guy,..( for now )
