I don't think they'd fit over the WRX with the fog lights fitted and I can't see anyone removing the fog lights to have covers fitted

but yes they look easy to pop out...suggest to staple them to yer bumper if you are worried

 

some guy got them stolen and posted it on nasioc. If mine do get stolen its my excuse to get the foglights so I'm not worried. Btw gorilla glue will work better than staples

 

The wife and I when to a movie last night (28 Days Later. I still have fingernail marks on my arm from the wifes claws). We walk out and get in the car make the 10 min drive home. Now I normally check the car over a bit after parking in a lot at night, just to make sure no one has dinged it up or thrown something in the hood scoop. Well this time I didn't so when we get home my wife says "How come you have a hole in the front of your car?". I said ?????. I walk to her side and take a look and WTF. Some azzmaster has popped the fog light covers off. I haven't priced them yet, does anyone know what this is going cost me? I guess it could be worst they could have keyed it or something. I will now have to figure out if I can secure the covers some how. Any how just wanted to share.

My buddy just noticed that the truck STi badge is gone. They scratched the paint all to hell egtting it off. I am not a violent person but I would love to get my hands on who did this.

 

What kind of world are we living in where people can't park their nice cars newhere nemore. It seems everytime I park my STi newhere I'm always in a rush to get back to my car. I don't even dare park it at the mall or newhere else that I know I will be away from the car for too long. I'm a bit paranoid, its just that when I had my e36 m3 punks use to vandalize it all the time and I don't want the same fate for my new STi.

My suggestion to you is debadge the car and get foglights. I debadged the first week I had the car, not wanting someone to mess up the paint in the process of stealing the badge. I mean its a freakin $10 badge who the hell cares if they take it but if they mess up your paint thats a different story. Whats worse is that poor STi badge is gonna suffer the indignity of ending up on some ricers civic.

If you do get replacement foglight covers try not putting the big STi stickers back on, maybe that'll throw em off. BTW they have them here prepainted for $115

I made a small hole in the back flap of the Fog covers and threaded a piece of wire and hooked it up to the inside mounting hole of the body. I know it can be cut but you need a wire cutter to remove it, not a lot of people walk around with one.

I di it on mine, it was easy. It protects the fogs from casual vandals.

Sorry to hear about that man. I think you should zip tie the covers on from the back. Mine are all f*cked up from the freeway anyway so nobody would want mine. Here's to all the thieves and haters!

 

dude, check out the compustar 2wss/as from firstech. from 1 1/4 away the unit will tell you if someone is effing w/ your car. it's also a remote starter, turbo timer, alarm system, 2way reciever and I think it will make you coffee in the morning
