STi as a daily driver
I have seen a lot of posts about this car not being a good car to drive daily. Why is that? Aside from people stealing the car when you are at the mall or at work, I don't understand?

I've actually heard that when compared to the EVO the STi is generally much better as a daily driver. I think possibly the factory tires will wear fast, but other than that it should be fine. Unless, of caorse, you feel having 300hp on hand and a race tuned suspension make a car not good for daily driving. Some people hate a stiff ride, some people love it.

I hope they allow test drives at some point. I will be getting either a WRX or STi next spring...unless something else comes along.

I considered getting an old beater for some of the daily grind work but in the end it wouldn't be very feasible so the STi will do it all.

Since when is 18/24 mpg not acceptable for a daily driver? You don't see the SUVs driving around daily getting 10-15mpg??
The STi will be fine as a daily driver. Some of you act like it's straight out of the SWRT garage. Afraid people are going to steal parts off of it in the mall parking lot?? There were sporty, desirable cars before this one, you know. This isn't a $500k Ferrari.

It's just freakin 17x7.5 rims, what is the biggie?
There's plenty of 17x7.5 around, just be careful with offset.

The STi engine, interior, rims, etc is swapable to any WRX/impreza before it. Just like the ITR.
