Is it me or am I reading the site wrong? at www.wrx-sti.ca/ it says that the sti comes standard with 6 speakers and 6cd changer with am/fm standard. I'm confused. Can anyone confirm what this website says.

 

Dude, that's for Canadian's only.
They also get a fold down rear seat but no HID's (US only).

www.wrx-sti.ca is a Canada market website...hence the "CA" 'country code' of the web url.

^^ exactly. For us canadians because we are big rally fans up here they are throwing some things in for a price, I'm sure. The HID's come as an option because government regulations restrict the use of HIDs. But they are allowed.

So, if nayone wants to buy the stereo system, I might be selling it right off the bat.

 

Actually, I don't think you're getting anything more for the money. HIDs are very expensive, so the stereo and the little pass through seat are there to makeup for the missing HIDs while keeping the same price.

Yep. I can always order and install a back seat pass through on my own. No problem. The same for the radio which can a DIO item.

As for upgrading my headlights and electircal system to support costly HID's, I wouldn't even think of doing so.
The effort to cost factor is just too high.

We yank's as usual get the better deal.
